Pharrell Williams always has something up his sleeve. The husband and father’s latest endeavor is somewhat of a teen movie titled DOPE, which first debuted at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. The film follows the life of Malcolm (played by Shameika Moore) and his interesting adventures growing up in a gritty Los Angeles neighborhood. Check out a full description of the storyline below.

DOPE tells the story of Malcolm who is carefully surviving life in a tough neighborhood in Los Angeles. A chance invitation to an underground party leads him into an adventure that could allow him to go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself.

The film’s stars include Zoe Kravitz, A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman, Quincy Brown and more. DOPE was written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa and produced by Forrest Whittaker. Pharrell Williams executive produced the film alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs.

So far, it has received some pretty great reviews from those who were able to check it out at Sundance.

DOPE is set to hit theaters Friday, June 19. Do you this sound like a movie you’d be interested in seeing?
