Won’t He Do It? Teen Who Was Paralyzed Shocks Favorite Nurse By Walking [Watch]
When a loved one has to be hospitalized, I’m always skeptical about the people with whom they are left in care of. We’ve all heard horror stories and some have even had personal experiences with unpleasant nurses and hospital personnel who are all about getting checks as opposed to showing compassion for their patients. Unfortunately, these bad apples give the countless dedicated men and women in the medical profession a bad name, but video likes this serve as a reminder that hospitals and medical rehabilitation facilities are still staffed by some pretty amazing people.
In footage shared to YouTube, one Texas nurse is seen completely losing it after she witnesses one of her patients, who was once paralyzed, get out of her wheelchair and walk.
“Yes, thank you Lord. Thank you! Oh my God,” the nurse screams before crying.
“I’ve been praying for you,” she tells the teen. “Oh Lord have mercy.”
According to the girl’s mother, Becky Miller, she had been unable to walk for nearly two weeks.
“Our daughter, Bailey, had complete paralysis from the waist down for 11 days with no explanation as to why. This video is of one of her favorite nurses coming onto her shift and not knowing that Bailey had started walking this day.”
According to Fox 59, Bailey’s doctors were unable to figure out why she lost feeling in her legs.
