Jay Z Is Personally Calling Tidal Subscribers To Say “Thank You”
The launch of Tidal has received mixed reviews. However one thing if for certain, it has allowed fans to gain a more intimate look inside the lives of their favorite artists. The latest streaming service gives fans access to personal videos and songs. Therefore, it’s no surprise Jay Z is personally calling Tidal subscribers to thank them for their membership.
On the heels of releasing a video for his heart-warming song, “Glory,” Business Insider UK confirmed with Tidal executive Vania Schlogel that Jay Z along with a few other musicians have personally called to chat with subscribers. Schlogel also revealed that Jay Z is “deeply involved and the reason being is because this is a life project for him.” He works on the site every day, helping improve it, says Schlogel.
Since the launch of Tidal, its shares have continued to grow to the point that Nasdaq OMX Stockholm exchange had to halt trades because it appeared investors where rushing to trade funds once they saw the caliber of celebrities (Daft Punk, Kanye West, Rihanna, Beyoncé) who were investing in the business.
“In what appeared to reflect investors clamoring too late for a piece of Aspiro’s music streaming service Tidal, the shares were up 938 percent at 11 Swedish crowns ($1.27 US) just before trading was halted,” reports Reuters.
Still a number of artists and prospective customers haven’t been thrilled with the service.
Separate but related, we have word today that some reorganization is taking place at the company with the CEO of Aspiro, Andy Chen, leaving the company,” the company said in a statement.
But back to the matter at hand: Are you a Tidal member? Thoughts?
