Jay Z Releases New Video For The Song He Penned For Blue Ivy, “Glory”

April 17, 2015  |

Three years ago, when Blue Ivy was born, Jay Z released the song he dedicated to her, “Glory.” You may remember it featured her crying on the track and Blue, at just five days old, became the youngest person to appear on the Billboard charts. She beat out Stevie Wonder’s daughter Aisha Morris. With  heartfelt lyrics that gave us a glimpse into the very personal lives of Jay Z and Beyoncé, the song is nothing short of beautiful.

Well now that Tidal is out and available to the masses, for a small fee, Jay Z’s used the service to release a video for the song. The clip features scenes of Jay Z’s concert at Carnegie Hall, where he first performed the song. In it, you can see him rehearsing the song from a seated position with a full orchestra.

Familiar faces like Alicia Keys, Nas and Questlove are also seen in the video as Jay Z passes around pictures of his newborn daughter at the time.

It’s pretty adorable.

Check it out in the video below.
