Would you like to see Selena on tour, again?
A Nevada company, Acrovirt,LLC is currently developing a hologram named “Selena The One” with the critically acclaimed singer’s family. Acrovirt, LLC will create a walking, talking, singing and dancing hologram for the Quintanilla family and fans. Fans can also expect the singer to release new music with current hit artists and her hologram is subject to go on tour in 2018.
The Quintanilla family announced the news via Facebook this past week and in an interview with Billboard magazine, Selena’s sister Suzette assured fans the hologram was not created to replace Selena. She said, “By no means is this something that’s creepy or weird. We think it’s something amazing. A lot of the new fans that did not get to experience what Selena was about hopefully will be able to get a sense of her with this new technology that’s going to be coming out.”
Acrovirt, LLC has created an Indiegogo campaign to launch on April 16 and seeking half a million dollars towards the project. Suzzette also shared holograms will be more normalized in society by time Selena The One is ready to debut. She claims, “People don’t realize how fast technology is moving, This is something that we’re building for another two to three years, so when 2018 comes around they’ll be like, ‘Oh, OK, we get it.”
Many fans think the Quintanilla family should let Selena rest in peace instead of creating a hologram.
