Well-known Atlanta fitness trainer Travis “Achilles” Williams, 30, has passed away. According to 11 Alive, the popular wellness guru who gained his loyal following through motivational YouTube videos was hit by a train while taping footage for his channel.
Williams was jumping rope near railroad tracks in Buckhead, Fulton County Tuesday when he apparently underestimated the width of an oncoming freight train. According to investigators, he was not on the tracks but he was still close enough to be sideswiped by the train. His videographer was not hit by the train; however, he was knocked to the ground due to the impact of the passing train. He was not seriously injured.
Achilles leaves behind a 6-year-old daughter. A Go Fund Me account has been set up to assist with funeral costs. Donations will also be used to help support the trainer’s daughter.
“Everyone knew Achilles *Travis* Williams had an unbelievable spirit and energy,” a loved one explained on the crowdfunding profile. “He lived his 30 years better than many will live their lifetime. Travis was truly one of a kind and his legacy of helping and loving others will continue.”
We send our prayers to Achilles’ relatives and friends.
