Bengals Player’s Daughter Who Was Diagnosed With Cancer Showed No Signs Of Active Disease During Recent Scan
Devon Still’s 4-year-old daughter Leah Still recently received an encouraging report from doctors. According to the NFL star, doctors say Leah, who was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma last June, is showing no signs of disease activity after some recent MIBG scans. Still took to Instagram with the amazing news Tuesday night.
“That moment you get the best news you’ve ever received and don’t know what to do so you just flex,” the Bengals player wrote beneath an adorable photo of himself and Leah. “We got Leah’s MIBG Scans back tonight and the doctors told us they didn’t see any active disease in her body!!!”
Leah and her family are still awaiting MRI and bone biopsy results, which are expected to be available in the coming days; but things are looking good!
“We still have to wait for her MRI and bone biopsy results later this week. But the doctors feel very optimistic about them because of the results from today. So for now we celebrate!!”
According to Still, it hasn’t been confirmed that Leah is cancer free yet, but the positive results from the MIBG scan is a huge step in the right direction.
“Leah is NOT cancer free just yet,” the defensive tackle clarified on Twitter. “But this test showing no evidence of active disease in her body is a huge step in that direction!”
This is awesome news. Previously, the Leah’s chance of survival was estimated at 50-50, but these results certainly appear to have shifted the odds in her favor. We continue to send our prayers to this brave little soul.
