In her latest interview with beauty site Into The Gloss, the Queen Bee of Gardening Martha Stewart shows that, at 73 years old, she’s showing no signs of slowing down. She even has a new catchphrase for women who are grinding just as hard as she is. In the interview, Stewart shed light on how she manages her new projects:
“My days are extremely busy. Right now, I’m focusing on expanding the Martha Stewart business internationally, which takes a lot of time, effort, concentration, and a lot of travel. As a result, I’ve been learning how to cope with long trips and the devastation that long airplane rides wreak on my skin and body. I don’t know how pilots and flight attendants do it. So there’s that, and gardening season is just about to start, so I’ve been ordering all of my plants and seeds and getting ready to plant three gardens in Bedford and East Hampton, New York, and Maine. Even with everything else going on, I still like to take care of those. I manage it all—I woman it!”
Besides expanding her businesses internationally, Stewart has recently opened her first café in New York City! In a statement to People magazine, Martha noted,“I am thrilled to open the Martha Stewart Café. It’s a place inspired by my world travels where anyone can come and enjoy a smooth, well-balanced, beautifully handcrafted cappuccino, latte, macchiato, or just plain Americano. In addition, you must try our artisanal teas — they are the finest available anywhere.”
Located in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, the café and Martha’s other businesses definitely have her “woman-ing” it up!
