“We’re Done, I Did My Year”: Jada Pinkett Smith Is Leaving “Gotham”
For “Gotham” fans who love the memorable character “Fish” Mooney, sad news to report: she will no longer appear on the series after this season. Actress Jada Pinkett Smith revealed to “Extra’s” AJ Calloway that she won’t be on the Fox show after the season finale.
On her decision, Smith said, “We’re done, I did my year and I had a good time. The show is gonna have an awesome finale.” She went on to say that she was grateful to participate on the show because of her love for Batman.
“I’ve always been a comic book fan so it was definitely a dream to be able to participate in an origin story of Batman with an original character. Who would of thought in a million years that I would have the opportunity to do that?”
Although the actress didn’t give too many details on what fans should expect in her last episodes on “Gotham,” she reminded everyone that her next project will be Magic Mike XXL, which is set to be released on July 1.
If you’re interested in tuning in to see Smith play “Fish” on “Gotham” before it’s too late, the show airs Mondays on Fox.
