It looks like the rumors were true. Earlier today, CBS confirmed reports that Nick Gordon will be appearing on a special episode of “Dr. Phil.” The news was officially announced in a press release sent out by the network.

The episode will apparently serve as an intervention for a “distraught and out of control” Nick, who will be joined by his mother, Michelle. During the sit down where Phil will attempt to provide the treatment Nick “appears to so desperately need,” the troubled 20-something will open up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol.

Michelle will also reveal that Nick has been struggling with guilt since Whitney’s passing.

“As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance,” she tells Phil in a clip, according to Us Weekly. “When Whitney was found, he administered CPR to her and called me as he was standing in front of her saying, ‘Mom, why couldn’t I do it? I couldn’t get air into her lungs.'”

“He won’t let go of the guilt,” she continued.

The emotional episode is set to air Wednesday, March 11.
