“It Must Have Really Hurt Her”: Rosie Perez Blames “Whitney” Biopic For Bobbi Kristina Tragedy
As people continue to pray for the improvement of Bobbi Kristina’s condition, and for her family, who are by her side during this tumultuous time, others are trying to figure out what could have happened to her and why. There have been many theories and allegations thrown around about that Saturday morning when she was found unresponsive in a tub in her home in Atlanta. However, no one knows (early investigations haven’t provided much as of yet) what really happened other than Bobbi Kristina…and God.
However, some people think that there are many things that probably didn’t help Bobbi Kristina move forward in the grieving process–like the Whitney biopic for instance.
It is the opinion of “The View” co-host, Rosie Perez, that the unauthorized biopic on Whitney’s life (though moreso about Bobby) must have hurt, not helped Bobbi’s progress. This is what she had to say when the ladies were talking about her current situation:
“I just thought that movie that came out, and this is no disrespect to Angela Bassett because I love Angela Bassett, but an unauthorized biography about her mom? It must have killed her. That was a terrible phrasing, let me take that back. It must have really hurt her deeply to watch that. We forget that these people are human beings and we sit there and we talk about people. We put people into the tabloids and we forget, we’re human beings.”
A part of me thinks that Bobbi Kristina probably didn’t even watch the movie, as most of the family was very outspoken in their disapproval of the project from the beginning. But I do wonder what she thought about her father’s very intimate interview about his relationship with Whitney after the movie aired last month on Lifetime.
As for that biopic, Yaya DaCosta, who played Whitney in the film, let it be known that she’s praying for Bobbi Kristina’s recovery:
