Company: Pnk Elephant Jewelry
In 2008, Kijafa Frink was inspired to start a line of jewelry for women that wouldn’t break the bank. “I always lose my jewelry,” admits Frink, “so I don’t want to spend a lot of money.” Frink had been tossing the idea around of creating inexpensive jewelry for all, then one day she met Blair Sandlain. “She had an accessory line and she was up and running, and she blessed me by letting me become a partner,” Frink told Hampton Roads magazine. Pnk Elephant was born. They launched the line and late last year took the company to the web at PnkElephant.com.
The site presents a slew of rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces: gold, bold, shimmering jewelry, the envy of every girl in pursuit of modern style, ranging in prices from $7 to $80. “This is what I want: I want everybody to be able to wear our stuff. I want it to be affordable,” said Frink.
