You NEED reciprocation

In 1979, famed psychologist Dorothy Tennov described the overwhelming desire for someone and the almost obsessive need for it to be reciprocated as “limerence.”

She deduced that the times that this type of lust is the strongest is during the adolescent stage of development, but it seems (to me) strong in people who are also in love with the idea of being with someone.

Yes, in any union you want to feel as though your feelings are being reciprocated, but if you’re obsessing over every phone call, every text, every tweet, and every IG post, then it might not be love, it’s limerence.
