Not only are these celebrity proud parents but they’ve also watched their children welcome children of there own and have become grandparents in the process, which is shocking when we look at how young and carefree they are.

Snoop Dogg

Snopp Dogg is known as the godfather of rap but he now has a new title under his belt: grandfather. The “Gin & Juice” rapper became a granddad for the first time earlier this week after eldest son Corde welcomed a son with his girlfriend. The proud grandfather posted a video of his son holding newborn baby Zion to Instagram soon after he was born. He also posted several photos of his son and grandson with the caption, “Zion. U have a lot of love WAitn on u grandson!!”

CeeLo Green

It’s not unusual for 35-year-olds to think about starting a family. But CeeLo Green became a grandfather at that age. During an appearance on “Chelsea Lately,” the Goodie Mob member revealed that his 20-year-old daughter gave birth to a son. Sierra is Green’s stepdaughter from his marriage to ex-wife Christina Johnson. Viewers of MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16” may remember Sierra when she appeared on the show to celebrate her 15th birthday.

Charlie Sheen

It’s hard to believe that the hard-partying Charlie Sheen is a grandfather but it’s true. Sheen became a father for the first time back in 1984 when he had a daughter with his former high school sweetheart. Since then he’s had four more children, two with Denise Richards and a set of twins with Brooke Mueller. His daughter gave birth to a daughter of her own in 2013. Sheen broke off his engagement to a former porn star late last year stating that he wanted to devote his time to his family.

Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey’s daughter Jane Carrey gave birth to a son in 2010, making the “In Living Color” alum a grandfather at the age of 47. Had Carrey married longtime girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, it would’ve made her a step-grandmother as well. McCarthy shared a great relationship with Jane and considered her a daughter. Carrey broke up with the future co-host of “The View” that same year. Two years later, Jane appeared as a contestant on “American Idol” but her performance wasn’t enough to compel judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson to advance her in the competition.

Nene Leakes

With all of the name-calling and shade throwing on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” it’s easy to forget that NeNe Leakes is a grandmother. The reality star’s eldest son Bryson and his girlfriend had a daughter in 2012. Leakes, who insisted that she wanted to be called a “Glam-mom,” didn’t find out she was doing to be a grandmother until Bryson’s girlfriend was six months along. Since then she’s embraced the latest addition to the family. “I always wanted to have a girl… and now I have one!” Leakes gushed. “She’s just adorable.”

Kiefer Sutherland

When Kiefer Sutherland married first wife Camilia Kath in 1987, he became a stepfather to her daughter. Although the marriage only lasted for three years, Sutherland treated Michelle Kath like his own daughter and when she became a mother, he became a grandfather. She now has two boys, Hamish and Quinn. “He already looks like a failed boxer,” Sutherland said of his first grandson. “He falls down a lot and he gets cut up and he’s just beautiful. He’s one of the great pleasures of my life.”

Lionel Richie

At 65 years old, Lionel Richie is one of celebrity’s hottest grandfathers. Daughter Nicole Richie came to live with him and his then wife Brenda when she was two years old. And in 2008, Nicole made her adopted father a grandfather after giving birth to Harlow Winter Kate Richie Madden. A year and a half later, Harlow became a big sister to newborn Sparrow James Midnight Madden.

Brett Favre

As the superstar quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre was used to breaking records. In 2010, the 40-year-old became the first active player that was a grandfather. His daughter Brittany gave birth to son Parker Brett. The NFL stated that at the time it did not know of any other active players with grandchildren. Favre has since retired and hung up his football cleats for good.

Nicolas Cage

Last year Nicolas Cage became a grandfather after his son Weston Cage and his wife welcomed their first child. It had been a rocky marriage for the pair. In 2011, Weston, who is in an indie band, and wife Nikki Williams were arrested and facing felony domestic charges after getting into a fight days after the duo left rehab. A month later Weston was arrested again for assaulting his wife. But last year the happy couple was ecstatic to welcome Lucian Augustus Coppola Cage into the world.

Donny Osmond

Donny Osmond comes from a big family. The seventh son out of nine children, the former teen idol had five boys of his own. Osmond became a grandfather in 2005 and since then his family has expanded by five more grandchildren. Several years ago his eldest son Donny Osmond Jr. surprised him during an appearance on “The Talk” by announcing that he was going to be a grandfather yet again. Upon hearing the news, the elder Donny embraced his son and cried tears of joy.

Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon looks much younger than her actual age. In 1985 she gave birth to her first child, daughter Eva Amurri. And at 67 years old, the “Thelma & Louise” star became a grandmother when her daughter gave birth to Marlowe. Forever young, Sarandon doesn’t want to be called “Grandma,” “Granny” or “Nana.” Instead she prefers that when little Marlowe is old enough to talk, she call the award-winning actress “Honey.”

Whoopi Goldberg

It’s hard enough picturing Whoopi Goldberg as a grandmother but can you believe that she’s actually a great-grandmother? Goldberg became a mother at the age of 17 and her own daughter Alexandrea became a teenage mother when she had her own daughter at 16. Last March, “The View” co-host became a great-grandmother when her 25-year-old granddaughter Amarah Dean gave birth to the family’s latest addition, baby girl Charlie Rose. Goldberg shared a photo of her newborn great-granddaughter on the daytime talk show.

Tony Danza

At 54 years old, Tony Danza became a grandfather. The “Who’s The Boss?” star’s son Marc became a father when he had a child of his own in 2005. “There’s a certain feeling of accomplishment that there’s another generation,” Danza said to “People” magazine when he was asked about what it felt like to be a grandfather. “But the most exciting thing is watching your son be a dad.”
