Porsha Williams Arrested In Atlanta
Update 9:34 a.m.: We were able to get in touch with Porsha’s publicist, who redirected us to her issued statement regarding the arrest. Her statement reads:
“I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over. I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car, and my freedom.”
It seems that Porsha Williams is acquiring quite the rap sheet. Last April, the reality star was charged in the on-camera attack of her co-star and rival Kenya Moore, which occurred on the set of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” reunion special. Less than nine months later, the 33-year-old found herself in front of yet another camera as she posed for a mug shot.
This time, the beauty was not collared for a violent crime, but for breaking the laws of the road. According to TMZ, Williams was pulled over on an Atlanta highway after she was allegedly spotted driving 78 mph in a 55-mph zone. Once cops ran her license, they learned that it had been suspended, which explains the arrest.
After being carted off to jail and booked, she was released on $1, 726 bond. It’s unclear exactly why Williams’ license was suspended, but we’re hoping that she takes care of that immediately.
Reps for the Bravo personality did not immediately return our request for comment concerning this matter.
