Tasha Smith Files For Divorce, Ordered To Pay Estranged Husband $50K In Spousal Support
Why Did I Get Married actress Tasha Smith is probably pondering that very question considering that she recently filed for divorce.
Unfortunately, the odds already don’t appear to be in her favor. According to TMZ, a judge has ordered the fiery beauty to fork up $50,000 in spousal support up front to estranged hubby Keith Douglas because she is the primary breadwinner in their household. This arrangement has supposedly been put in place to hold Douglas over until the more permanent details of their divorce can be straightened out. Perhaps he’ll use that money to move out of the couple’s marital home.
It became apparent that Smith and Douglas’ four-year marriage was deteriorating back in November when the Hollywood hubby requested a restraining order against her. According to Douglas, Smith frequently went into alcohol-induced rages that resulted in her threatening his life. Just days after Douglas’ restraining order was granted, Smith requested her own restraining order. In her filing, the actress also alleged that Douglas threatened her life, referred to her as a “f-cking d-ke” and accused her of sleeping with other women.
It’s unfortunate that it’s come to this with these two, but as we’ve learned from both Why Did I Get Married films, every relationship isn’t meant to last forever.
