Are You Guilty? Things Women Shouldn’t Do To Other Women
Violating Girl Code may be a good way to drum up ratings on reality TV, but fans are saying that these celebrities have abandoned it in real life and need to come back over to this side of the fence.
Criticize Who They’re Dating
Not because you don’t know he’s bad news, but because she can’t hear you.
We all get stuck on stupid from time to time and it’s almost impossible to hear good advice when you’re in that position.
We all want Karrueche to do better, but these attacks on her Instagram page are getting out of hand. We thought moms were off limits…
Did you see Masika and Hazel-E almost come to blows at the Love and Hip Hop Hollywood Reunion? Hazel-E is upset because Masika is dating her ex Yung Berg.
But fans pointed out that if Hazel-E was going to be mad at anyone for betraying her, it should be Yung Berg. And what was he doing while these two grown women were fighting? Sitting back, watching and laughing.
Shade Each Other’s Looks
Poor Dawn Richard says she can’t win for losing. First Danity Kane fans shaded her for being “ugly” then when she got plastic surgery, they shaded her for being fake.
But Dawn says that the shady comments women left on her social media pages were one of the reasons she got surgery in the first place!
Cat Fight In Public
We don’t know whether K. Michelle or Lil Kim are lying about whether or not Kim asked K. to be her child’s godson, but I wish these two similarly-dressed celebrities would put this bickering to bed and work on a duet!
Take Their Man
Speaking of K. Michelle, her Idris Elba confession was certainly jealousy-inducing news — until we found out that K. Michelle was actually Idris’ side chick. And she cheated with him while his girlfriend was pregnant.
Marry Their Man
Season 5’s Love and Hip Hop premiere has everyone upset about Peter Gunz and Amina Buddafly’s scandalousness all over again.
We’re excited about the baby, but we wonder how she’s going to feel when he finds out her mother’s back story…
Throw Around The C-Word
I have to admit. When I heard that 50-year-old Vivica Fox was dating 31-year-old Robert Ri’Chard on the low, “cougar” was the first word that popped into my mind too.
But when 54-year-old Sean Penn and 39-year-old Charlize Theron got together, I didn’t bat an eye. If women want to get rid of this double standard, we’re going to have to be the ones to do it.
Shade Eachother’s Selfie Game
It was Kim Kardashian’s camera obsession that turned everyone against selfies in the first place.
So it only seems fitting that another member of the Kardashian clan is bringing selfies back in a big way with the “belfie”: the selfie from behind.
Talk about great inspiration to hit the gym.
Publicly Play Devil’s Advocate With Their Rape Allegations
I also said “say it isn’t so” when I first heard the Cosby rape rumors, but it still rubbed me the wrong way when Whoopi questioned Beverly Johnson’s very detailed account of the night she says she was drugged by Bill Cosby.
I understand she’s playing devil’s advocate, but assuming that all of the women accusing Bill Cosby are lying isn’t journalistic integrity either.
Get Married In Secret
I’m only half serious, but is it just me or is this everyone’s least-favorite celebrity trend? There has got to be a way to respect celebrity privacy and still get the wedding details we’ve all been craving.
Plus, all of this secrecy has the are-they-or-aren’t-they-married rumor mill going out of control.
Hold Each Other To Old School Standards
Did you hear Angelina Jolie’s recent confession that she wanted to learn to be a better wife to Brad by learning how to cook?
Angelina is a philanthropist, mother of six, A-list actress and international ambassador. And I can just hear my great aunt in my head asking, “yeah but can she cook?”
If we don’t let go of some of those old school values just a little, a lot of us are going to be overworked.
Assume We All Want To Put A Ring On It
Not every woman wants to get married. A journalist at Star magazine learned that the hard way when she offended comedian Sarah Silverman with the article “Sarah Wants a Ring.”
Sarah snapped back with a series of Tweets confirming that she was in love with her significant other, but is not in the market for marriage:
“Just read that I wanna get married which is hilarious b/c I will never get married. Why would I want the govt involved in my love life? Ew. It’s barbaric.”
Shade Each Other For Being Young
39-year-old The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik raised a few eyebrows when she criticized 21-year-old singer Ariana Grande for being too sexy on a recent billboard:
“There is one for Ariana Grande. I will go ahead and admit I have no idea who she is or what she does.
Based on the billboard, she sells lingerie. Or stiletto heels. Or plastic surgery because every woman over 22 wishes she has that body, I’m sure. Why is she in her underwear on this billboard though?”
But even Mayim Balik fans pointed out that maybe Mayim is a little too “old-fashioned.” We were all young and vain and fans of mini skirts at some point in our lives, and maybe Ariana deserves a break.
Abandon Women On The Big Issues
Now this is a touchy subject, but was Camille out of line?
Comparing Bill Cosby to a rape victim was definitely a poor choice of words, but there’s a bigger issue here:
Camille Cosby, a woman, encouraging other women to keep silent about rape allegations. But it seems to be a difficult question for Camille: support the truth or support your husband of 50 years?
Slut Shame One Another
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has done a lot of things, but exchanging text messages with Phaedra’s husband Apollo wasn’t one of them.
So a lot of fans can’t understand why Phaedra and some of the other Real Housewives are still treating Kenya like she did.
This feels like too-high hopes for RHOA but can’t we all just get along?
