Yesterday the Black community once again received the message that our lives don’t matter when a grand jury decided not to prosecute Staten Island police officers responsible for the choke-hold death of Eric Garner. Tensions were understandably high with the verdict coming just one week after a jury also failed to indict Darren Wilson for the murder of Mike Brown so we took to the streets to ask New Yorkers protesting in Rockefeller Center how they felt about the verdict, their outlook on the future as Black men and women, and what action they think we should take to prevent another injustice in the future. Watch and weigh in.
