Twitter = Stalkers Utopia.

If you Google “stalking on Twitter” the top link to pop up is Twitter’s “TweetStalk” add-on. This nifty piece of technology allows psychopaths people who want to follow someone on Twitter, but don’t want others to know they’re being followed, to simply download the application to Firefox. With one simple click, the pursuit may commence!

In an age when people love to broadcast their lives to the free world, it’s hard to not feel like we have free reign. What makes following a guy on Twitter so alluring is that it allows us to know his whereabouts, family members, friends, likes, dislikes, goals, dreams, characteristics and dating status…you know, so he doesn’t end up being crazy.

We want to know! Think about all the years wasted, where people had to actually get to know each other… in person… without any outside help! Times were hard.

Seriously, it’s ridiculous how much the Internet brings out the inner psychopath investigator in women. The funny thing is, you can follow someone on Twitter all day, but all you’re reading is what they want you to read.

You really don’t know someone by HTML coding and electronic waves. If it’s your man your worried about, trust, he can cheat unbeknown to you, with or without a Twitter account. If it’s an ex, he may still have feelings for you despite the sketchy twit pics from his Spring Break trip. And if it’s a guy you’re interested in, you better believe knowing more about him than he’s told you will freak him out when you meet in-person for the first time.

So, do yourself a favor. Ease off his tweets.
