Kim Kardashian West Raises Money For AIDS Awareness Via Video Game
Last week, we reported on Kim Kardashian West’s posterior helping high school students practice SAT math questions and now, the pop culture icon will partner with Apple and AIDS awareness organization (RED) to raise funds for World AIDS Day on December 1.
Also in service to AIDS awareness and via her million-dollar grossing video game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood,” Kardashian West will donate proceeds from app purchases from now until December 7 to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
In a statement about her latest turn as a Good Samaritan, Kardashian West told People magazine:
“Players can show their support by participating in special (RED) events and purchasing exclusive (RED) in-game items like (RED) Beats headphones. As a ‘thank you’ for their support, players can take a (RED) branded selfie with me and share to their social networks! Players can even attend a (RED) fundraiser event in-game. I’m thrilled to be able to support (RED) through Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.”
Other apps that will be participating in an AIDS awareness campaign with (RED) is Angry Birds, Garageband, FarmVille 2: Country Escape and Disney Frozen Free Fall.
