If it wasn’t clear to you by now that Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry can’t stand one another, this new development in their ongoing court battles should make it pretty obvious.
According to TMZ, Berry took Aubry back to court today to find a way to force him to stop chemically altering the hair of their 6-year-old daughter, Nahla. They say that Berry is claiming Gabriel has been getting the child’s hair straightened and even lighting it with highlights so that she doesn’t look so…you know…black.
She wasn’t present in court this morning, but her lawyer, Steve Kolodny, was definitely there, arguing on her behalf against Aubry and his lawyer. Inevitably, it was decided by the judge that NEITHER parent could alter Nahla’s hair from its natural state, and that from here on out, Nahla’s hair will grow back naturally.
This is the first that I’ve personally heard about parents arguing in court over what decisions will be made about their child’s hair, and really, with these two, I’m not surprised that it had to come to all this. Berry and Aubry have been at odds for quite some time now, and just recently, she took him to court to try and get the child support she pays him reduced from $16,000 a month because he’s not working and basically living off of that money. I guess for Berry, she wanted to show the judge what Aubry has been spending her money on, and that includes allegedly trying to make their daughter look like a white girl.
I just can’t with these two…
