“The Walking Dead’s” Sonequa Martin-Green 8 Months Pregnant
There might be a new baby on “The Walking Dead” set soon but this one won’t be an actor. It’ll be the little one of actress Sonequa Martin-Green who is eight months pregnant with her and her husband’s first child.
If you follow Sonequa on Twitter you may have already seen the news, with her spilling the beans in a few tweets this past week. But it was on last night’s episode of “The Talking Dead” that she first talked about being pregnant publicly. Speaking to Chris Hardwick, the 29-year-old wife of fellow thespian Kendric Green spoke on her pregnancy and said “I feel great,” adding that she’s been “able to do everything” she normally would, including tearing up walkers on set. “I had a lot of energy and I was focused,” she said. “It was difficult, but I was able to do it.”
Sonequa’s pregnancy brings up questions of whether she’ll be back for the remaining half of “The Walking Dead” after it goes on winter hiatus this Sunday. Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, has fans in a bit of a frenzy after he revealed he was devastated over the winter finale, telling TV Guide:
“I sat on an apple box with my head between my legs and just balled for an hour. I really wanted not to tear up during [the scene] — I wanted to be like I wasted every tear in my body before we started shooting — so I just sat there and cried and cried and cried.’”
If he cried, we don’t even know how we’ll handle the episode. Maybe thoughts of Sonequa’s cute baby bump will help. We can’t wait to see the baby in another month!
