Check Out Previews Of Beyoncé’s Turn-Up Worthy New Song, “7/11” And Revealing “Ring Off”
Whether you’re a low-key Beyoncé lover, or a card-carrying member of the Beyhive ready to curse out detractors on sight, I’m sure you are excited about the Platinum edition of her album coming out next Monday. Well, in case you’re one of those people who likes to test drive stuff before they buy it, you’ll be happy to know that snippets of the new songs from the album, “7/11” and “Ring Off,” have found their way online.
In the preview of “7/11,” Beyoncé gets auto-tune ratch, telling listeners to “smack that, clap, clap, clap, like you don’t care.” Clearly the song is meant to be a turn-up worthy jam for the clubs and the cars, and we’re sure the full thing will satisfy fans.
As for “Ring Off,” Bey pulls an “Irreplaceable” on us, telling her lover over a dope beat that she’s not having anymore lies and tears. Nope, she’s taking that ring off, dusting herself off and getting back to happy. I guess this is the sequel to “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” when things don’t turn out as planned.
All in all, both songs sound pretty good so far. If you’re interested in hearing the full things, you can pick up the Beyoncé Platinum edition, with its two CDs and DVDs on Monday. The album will also feature remixes of songs from the original Beyoncé album (with help from Pharrell, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and hubby Jay Z), and songs done live during the Mrs. Carter World Tour.
What are we thinking so far?
