Apparently all isn’t fair in love and basketball, at least it isn’t for Dwight Howard and Royce Reed.
Former “Basketball Wives” cast member Royce and Houston Rockets player Dwight Howard are headed to court again. This time around, Howard is fighting for full custody of their 6-year-old son Braylon. Howard filed legal documents this past week, claiming Royce is an unfit mother who gives their child psychtotropic drugs.
This move by Howard comes shortly after Royce went to Children’s Services in Orlando three months ago claiming Dwight had severely whipped their son and left bruises and abrasions all over his leg. TMZ reported this morning that after completing an investigation Children’s Services closed the case, as it was determined that Braylon’s bruises did not occur from a beating and Howard did not break the law. But Royce quickly refuted that claim on Instagram:
Those reps Royce referred to in her post are Howard’s, who told TMZ they believe Royce made these false allegations against her NBA ex to prevent Dwight from winning full custody of their child, stating, “It is troubling to see a mother use her son as a pawn against his father.” They also added Dwight will do “whatever is necessary to protect [the child’s] welfare and best interest.”
Yikes. We can only hope these two get it together for the sake of their child.
