It was just August when word spread about Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon separating. Though Cannon has been very open about how much he still cares for and loves the singer (and says that they are pleasantly co-parenting), he’s moving on, albeit a little fast. First there was his decision to cover up his “Mariah” tattoo on his back, and now, he’s being interviewed about dating prospects.
While DJing at a gig in Las Vegas on Tuesday, People asked Cannon if he was single and ready to mingle. Thankfully, he said no…well, he kind of said no.
“I’m good, man. I’m great. There are a lot of people after me right now. I gotta slow it down. I’m trying to slow it down and stay focused. Family is the first thing and my kids are most important.”
I have a feeling he was probably joking with the “There are a lot of people after me” statement…right? Yet and still, People went on to ask him what his “perfect woman” would be:
“I couldn’t even tell you right now. That’s a tough one. I haven’t thought about that one. I’m just taking it one day at a time. Obviously the dating thing will come down the line, but right now I’m just slowing down.”
Those questions were definitely too much too soon from the mag, but it seems as though he’s set on moving forward…
