Remember These Famous Twosomes? The Best TV BFFs
From Theo and Cockroach to Taystee and Poussey, these are the best TV BFFs in television history. Did we miss any on your list of favs?
Theo And Cockroach
Cockroach was Theo’s best friend, partner in crime and the source of some of our favorite Cosby Show hijinks — at least for the first few seasons of the show.
Carl Anthony Payne II had to stop playing Cockroach when he was kicked off of the show for refusing to keep his hair as short as Bill Cosby demanded.
But Carl went on to play another iconic BFF around a decade later as Cole Brown on Martin.
Gina And Pam
Speaking of Martin, no TV BFF list would be complete without Gina and Pam. They partied, laughed and loved together through Martin’s jokes, Sheneneh shenanigans and all of the other antics that made Martin one of the most popular shows on TV.
Poussey and Taystee
We don’t know if we’re happier about these two getting over their rough patch on Orange Is The New Black or about learning that Danielle Brooks and Samira Wiley are BFFs in real life.
Dwayne And Ron
Before Dwayne and Whitley, there was Dwayne and Ron. And while Whitley and Dwayne broke up all the time, the episodes we remember most are when these two stopped talking.
Kim And Nikki Parker
Everyone who was BFFs with their mom knew that Kim and Nikki may have been mother and daughter but they were also one of the funniest twosomes on TV.
Everybody On Living Single
We know this is technically about TV twosomes, but how can we pick a favorite pair from one of the best shows about friendship to ever air on TV?
Joan And William
Girlfriends had a lot of BFFs too, but there’s always going to be a special place in fans’ hearts for Joan and William’s beautifully nerdy relationship.
Bullethead And Romeo
These two adorable dummies were part of what made the Steve Harvey show one of the most entertaining 30 minutes on The WB. But after Merlin Santana passed, watching these reruns is always sort of sad.
Jess and Cece
There are a lot of friends on New Girl but Cece and Jess have been hanging out the longest. And like all longterm BFFs they’re adorably mismatched, joined at the hip and one of the funniest friend pairs on TV today.
Jane And Brad
Jane and Brad are proof positive that when you’re BFF’s with your spouse, your relationship is always better. If these two don’t make you want to tie the knot, then you’re probably not watching Happy Endings.
Leslie Knope And Ann Perkins
Work friends are the best friends. And Parks and Recreation‘s Leslie and Ann are the loving, supporting, cheerleading friends everyone aspires to be. So if you haven’t started Galentine’s Day with your friend circle yet, don’t forget it next February.
Everyone On Sex And The City
Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. It’s impossible to choose just two.
Tia And Tamera
These two tackled high school, crushes and even their pesky nextdoor neighbor Roger together. If you were lucky enough to grow up with a real-life sister/BFF, then consider yourself luckier than the rest of us that waited to spot our own separated-at-birth twin for years.
Will And Carlton
If you didn’t have a sister to be BFFs with, a cousin was the next best thing. And there were no closer cousins than Will and Carlton.
They played hard and fought hard but they always stood up for one another, because that’s what family’s for. And did you know that Will Smith and Alfonso Ribeiro are actually BFFs in real life?
Turk And J.D.
Look up “bromance” in the dictionary and you’ll find these two. They’re close enough to finish each other’s sentences, sing a “Guy Love” duet and make Scrubs one of the longest running sitcoms on TV.
