She Made How Much?! Bey Named Top-Earning Woman In The Music Biz
It’s likely no surprise to you that Beyonce has been named the top-earning woman in the music business for 2014, according to Forbes’ annual list, but you may be blown away by how much she earned.
In 2013 Forbes noted that Bey was having one of her best years in recent memory, raking in $53 million, but she H-town stomped all over that number this year, bringing in $115 million in 2014 (which isn’t over yet by the way), making this the biggest year of her career. I’m going to add a “So far” to the end of that sentence since Yonce stays one-upping herself.
Beyonce can credit touring for the bulk of her cash flow. This year she played 95 shows on the Mrs. Carter and On The Run tours and brought in about $2.4 million per city according to Pollstar’s calculations. Add endorsement deals from Pepsi and H&M and that surprise album everyone lost their minds over and there you have it. Since we just found out Bey is slated to release new music this year, it’s not a stretch to think if she goes on tour again in 2015 she could even top this year’s mega earnings. What do you think?
The top five female earners on Forbes list this year are:
- Beyonce – $115 million
- Taylor Swift – $64 million
- Pink – $52 million
- Rihanna $48 million
- Katy Perry $40 million
