Last winter, Beyoncé changed the game when she announced the surprise release of her album on Instagram. And according to rumors, Blue Ivy’s mama has been secretly working to surprise us with another musical compilation. The whispers began after a photo of what’s believed to be a Columbia Records release confirmation for a new album began circulating on social media. According to the letter, the alleged project will be Volume Two of her December 2013 self-titled project.
The physical copy of the album supposedly consists of four discs, which contain the 14 tracks from Volume One, 10 new tracks for Volume Two and 28 music videos. Features include Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj. If true, the digital release is slated for November 14 and the physical album release is scheduled for November 25.
Adding fuel to flame, it was also reported that Amazon UK has mistakenly confirmed the new project. The international electronic commerce company reportedly had a “Platinum Edition” of Beyoncré’s self-titled album listed for a November 2014 release. The album was reportedly priced at $42.00 and was already available for pre-order. We were unable to locate the listing, so it’s unclear if it was removed by Amazon or if it ever actually existed in the first place.
If Bey was plotting on another secret album release, it may be pushed back due to the information breach. We’ll more than likely have to stay tuned to see what’s really going on here. But as always, we’ll continue to keep you posted as new details emerge.
