The former boxing champion told Opie’s Radio that a man pulled him off the street and abused him at the age of 7. According to the DailyNews, the conversation went like this,

“I was a little kid, 7,” Tyson told co-host Jim Norton. “Old man, yea.”

“Was it one time or ongoing?” Norton asked.

“No, one time,” Tyson said. “Never seen him again….snatched me off the street.”

“He abused you and just let you go or did you escape?” Norton said.

“Well, I ran,” Tyson said

Mike also told the radio host, “I’m not embarrassed or ashamed of anything from that perspective”. Tyson has remained very open about his struggles with addiction and mental illness. In a statement to ABC, his rep said “He is in a good place in his life with sobriety, family and career.”
