Mama Joyce insisted that Todd was out for her daughter’s money and fought tooth and nail to convince her of that. Viewers of the show suspected that secretly Mama Joyce was worried that after Kandi married Todd, she would no longer take care of her, which Kandi admitted she did since the group Xscape became big.
