Time is ticking to put together that slammin’ Halloween costume. Sure you could be a sexy referee again or show off your goodies in an uninspired little red riding hood costume. Or, you could bring some creativity to the table and show up to that late-night Halloween shindig as one of television’s most popular characters. So let us serve up a few suggestions for some TV-inspired Halloween costumes.

Desiree Dupree: American Horror Story

“American Horror Story” is without a doubt one of our favorite shows on television. So it’s no surprise that dressing up as one of the powerful AHS ladies is at the top of our Halloween costume list. Whether you go current with a freaky turn as three-breasted Desiree Dupree or take a page out of last season’s coven and rock some sultry and bewitching black numbers, “American Horror Story provides costume possibilities no matter what vibe you’re trying to strike.

Michonne: The Walking Dead

Looking to be a total badas** with a feminine twist this Halloween season? Look no further than “The Walking Dead” for a truly awesome costume idea. Strap on a katana sword, a rugged pair of slacks, a sexy leather top and some combat boots and you could easily pass for the zombie-slaying Michonne. Gather a gang of other survivors of the zombie apocalypse for an added touch.

Daenerys Targaryen: Game of Thrones

“Game of Thrones” is filled to the brim with awesome Halloween possibilities. But if you’re in the market for a bit of sex appeal, a lot of attitude and some truly killer threads, then dressing up as Daenerys Targaryen might be for you. Sure her trademark waist-length blonde locks will likely require a wig, but we can deal with that for one night. Go for suede and leather Dany if you’re looking for a more causal look or take it up a notch with a flowing gown to mimic her steady rise in power across the sea.

Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren: Orange Is The New Black

OK, so we’re definitely not advocating taking a page out of Julianne Hough’s book. However, we are saying that “Orange Is The New Black” is ripe for the Halloween costume picking. In particular, we absolutely love Crazy Eyes and think if there is a character from the show to dress up as, it’s gotta be her.

Gloria Delgado-Pritchett: Modern Family

Now who wouldn’t want to be Sofia Vergara for Halloween this year? So if you’re in the mood to don some skin-tight outfits, some luscious brown locks and sky-high heels, then dressing up as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett might be the fit right for you. Add a cute little munchkin as baby Joe on your hip or ask your beau to stand in as Jay for an extra bit of pizazz.

Olivia Pope: Scandal

Who are we kidding with this one. We don’t need a holiday to justify our deep-seeded desire to be Olivia Pope. But despite our year-round obsession with all things “Scandal,” Halloween is just as awesome a time as ever to throw on your sleekest pants suit, rock an incredible blowout and exude an air of complete and utter confidence. If you need some help on the wardrobe front, the new “Scandal”-inspired collection at The Limited might be just what the doctor ordered. Bonus points if you’re able to track down two hotties (Jake and Fitz) to fight over you.

Annalise Keating: How To Get Away With Murder

Our latest Shonda Rhimes obsession might also be one unique and sassy costume to rock this year. “How To Get Away With Murder’s” Annalise Keating has that same Olivia Pope-esque level of sophistication, but with more of an edge. So bust out that leather pencil skirt and sexy top. Oh, and don’t forget that gilded statue for an extra bit of intrigue.

Fish Mooney: Gotham

If you’re in the market for something a little more on the outrageous side, let us suggest that this year you try out a little Fish Mooney action. Played by the always lovely Jada Pinkett-Smith, Fish Mooney is one of “Gotham’s” resident baddies. With her chic pixie cut, highlighted with a burgundy red bang, her expressive, bold eye make-up and crazy sexy ensembles, Fish Mooney is one character that will make you stand out this Halloween. Sure she isn’t the most lovable of characters, but pretending to be a little bad is always fun.

Queen Elsa: Once Upon A Time

Who doesn’t love “Frozen.” OK, whether you admit it or not, we know you love “Frozen.” So why not channel your inner princess and be Queen Elsa?

Dancer: Dancing With The Stars

OK, so we’ll admit that you’ll be quite scantily clad if you decide to go as a dancer from “Dancing with the Stars” for Halloween this year. But if a sexy french maid is played out for you, then rocking out the fringe and glitter in a hot to trot dancer costume might not be a bad idea. Might we suggest, in particular, finding some super hot heels to go along with your look as well.

Kim Kardashian: Keeping Up With The Kardashians

We’re not reinventing the wheel with this suggestion, but just think: This year, your Kim Kardashian costume can be taken up a notch with the addition of a little baby North West, a very loud, obnoxious Kanye West and some highly question fashion choices including a bra-less T-shirt and a chain-metal skirt. Who could really turn down this opportunity?

Lisa Turtle: Saved By The Bell

There are few things we love more than a good ol’ throwback. And Halloween is no exception. So if you’re looking to channel the 90s this season, might we suggest busting out the acid wash denim and teasing the hair for a turn as “Saved By The Bell’s” resident fashionista Lisa Turtle. Sure you won’t have the trendiest threads in the world, but lord knows you’ll be warmer than the chicks who decided to be a hot traffic cop.

Whitley Gilbert: A Different World

Another throwback that we couldn’t help but include: Whitley Gilbert! The breakout star of “A Different World” Jasmine Guy’s Whitley was the quintessential Southern belle who got on your very last nerve, but still managed to charm her way through season after season. Whitley embodied everything big and bold in the 80s and 90s, so why not embrace that same spirit this Halloween?
