Remember the epic TLC movie CrazySexyCool Viacom/VH1 premiered last year? The one where the group’s manager Pebbles was shown in a not so positive light. While according to TheJasmineBrand.com Pebbles is not only moving forward with a $40 million dollar lawsuit against Viacom but has subpoenaed T-Boz and Chili as well.
In the lawsuit documents, Pebbles claims the film portrayed her as a ““as a conniving and dishonest business woman who hoodwinked three innocent girls and exploited their talent for her own personal gain.” She also says never was involved with the group’s lawyers and paid them fairly.
Now, Pebbles has served T-Boz and Chili with subpoenas. Pebbles is requesting the two singers, who were producers on the the TV movie, show any and all documents regarding their discussions with Viacom about Pebbles.
Pebbles has demanded to see the script outline and the documents for each scene involving her character. She specifically wants to see the documents for the scene where she reacted to T-Boz’s health issues and another scene where the group’s contracts were discussed.
Viacom has demanded Pebbles’ lawsuit be dismissed immediately.Viacom believes they did not act with malice while making the film and their portrayal of Pebbles was accurate.
Neither T-Boz or Chili have responded to the subpoenas yet.
