After her first marriage to music executive Tommy Mottola fizzled out, few people thought that she would marry an actor turned rapper 12 years her junior but that is exactly what she did. Carey’s month-long relationship to Nick Cannon managed to stay out of the media and hardly anyone knew they were together until they eloped in April 2008. The legendary diva was 38 at the time. On their third wedding anniversary, she became a mother for the first time after she gave birth to fraternal twins. Over the summer Carey and Cannon announced their split.
