Last week, the transcript from the deposition stemming from the lawsuit filed by MempHitz against K. Michelle was published by our sister site, Bossip. During questioning, K expressed that she was never punched by the producer, which some found to be inconsistent with her previously shared accounts of the attack. Eventually, people began to express belief that the former “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star had lies about the entire incident. K recently took to Instagram to address the speculation saying:

“I’m a lot of things but a liar I’m not. For over five years I’ve been told to be quiet about my life of abuse. And I refused and still refuse to be silenced. I was not punched in the isolated assault and never claimed to be. But what I was, was drug across the room and smothered with a towel losing consciousness to the point of a black out. And having to fight my way out of the room screaming for help. I almost lost my life,” she wrote.

“No form of violence is acceptable,” she continued. “Especially if I wasn’t hitting or being the aggressor. I have NEVER lied about this.  This is another attempt to silence me and another form of abuse. An attempt to gain media attention for the other party who is seeking money (because they have no income), and fame.”

She then went on to direct media attention to another outlet that published another part of the documents, which according to Karen Civil, includes MempHitz admitting to grabbing and physically restraining her.

“The truth is clearly stated in these documents. I will not give them what they want, which is time, energy and ATTENTION. No woman should ever go through this. The truth is in the papers. I won’t act as a victim, but as a survivor.”

As previously reported, K alleges that MepHitz threatened to kill her son and that she has the text messages to prove it. Both parties are due back in court on November 24.
