Here’s a job you probably never thought of–blunt roller?
Well, Waka Flocka Flame recently put out a call for someone to fill this position–and the salary is pretty good.
“According to an Instagram post, Waka Flocka Flame [was] in search of a personal ‘blunt roller’ to assist in his daily extra-curricular weed activities for a yearly salary of $50,000,” reports The Huffington Post.
He asked that interested candidates use the hashtag “#ICANROLL” to apply to the unusual position. Then he later tweeted, “All resumes must be sent on a rolling paper or blunts #seriousinquiriesonly.” The Love & Hip Hop star did get one really interested (and interesting) applicant: comedian-actor Seth Rogen.
Flame and his manager, Brick Bronson, sent The Huffington Post a statement regarding the job opening:
“Waka Flocka and 36Brickhouse will no longer be accepting applicants for the specified job listing for ‘Personal Blunt Roller,’ as Seth Rogen has been hired to fill this position. His experience both on and off camera has earned this funnyman a slot with squad, eh.#icanROLL”
From Brick Bronson, Waka’s Manager:
“Waka Flocka has since hired Seth Rogen, however, if he doesn’t adhere to his day-to-day responsibilities, I’ll fire him and hire James Franco.” #bound”
And Rogen has tweeted an image from his “first day on the job.”
While all the posts were funny, we got to wonder with the booming business of medical marijuana in the U.S., could such a position be far behind. After all there are now budtenders, people at a medical marijuana clinics who tends to the patients’ medicinal needs.
“The cannabis industry isn’t just pot shops and warehouse grows. It’s an industry that could reach $2.57 billion in value this year, according to the Arcview Group, a San Francisco investment and research firm that focuses on the cannabis business,” reports Al-Jazeera America. And it is predicted to reach $10.2 billion in five years, giving growing to all new sorts of jobs and job opening.
