Nick Cannon got all dressed up for the Wednesday season finale of America’s Got Talent. Tuxedo? Check. Fresh haircut? Check. And to top it all off, the man wore $2 million Tom Ford loafers. He did that.

Women’s Wear Daily (via New York Daily News) says the shoes have “14,000 full-cut round white diamonds set onto white gold, with a total carat weight of 340 carats.” They took a year to make, took seven retries, and could be a record breaker.

“When Nick approached me last year, he said he wanted to make history and be so over-the-top. He wanted to set a new standard in diamonds,” said jeweler Jason Arasheben. Accord to WWD reporter David Yi, the beauty of the shoes is that the gems are sewn and placed on the loafers rather than glued on, so Cannon can actually walk in them.

BTW, the million-dollar winner of America’s Got Talent was a magician, Mat Franco. We’re still looking at the shoes though.
