Iggy’s Ex Claims She Gave Him Permission To Sell Sex Tape
When news first broke that there may be an Iggy Azalea sex tape floating around, I was convinced that the “Fancy” singer was somehow behind it. However, since the emergence of new details surrounding the scandal, it appears that my suspicions may have been incorrect. As you’ve probably heard by now, Iggy’s ex-boyfriend and former manager, Hefe Wine, has come forward claiming that he’s the guy who appears with Iggy in the alleged tape; however, he argues that he never sent it to Vivid Entertainment. In the same breath, according to TMZ, he insists that he does have the legal right to sell the tape if he so pleases.
Hefe argues that Iggy signed her rights to the tape away back in 2009 when she signed a contract giving him the right to “manufacture, sell, distribute and advertise ‘any’ recording embodying visual images.” In actuality, the contract Iggy signed gives him permission to cut records and music videos; however, Hefe seems that think that adding a musical element to the tape would give him exclusive rights to sell it. The contract also provided Hefe with the right to create a website to market Iggy’s work, so he thinks that this also means that he can legally create a website to host the XXX video. Interestingly, the 24-year-old previously took to Twitter to blast those who thinks it’s okay to release intimate videos without consent.
It will be interesting to see how this all turns out, but Iggy’s legal team has already vowed to do everything within their power to stop the release of the alleged tape.
