Simone Battle Dealt With Money Problems And Depression, Says Relatives
Over the weekend, we told you that former “X Factor” star Simone Battle passed away from an apparent suicide. It was later confirmed by the Los Angeles County coroner that the G.R.L. singer’s death had been ruled a suicide by hanging. Although her father initially told reporters that he was unsure about what pushed his daughter to make such a tragic decision, other relatives were able to offer a bit more insight into some of the issues that were troubling the 25-year-old in the days leading up to her death.
According to TMZ, friends and family members told law enforcement officials that Simone was depressed over some financial issues that she had been facing. Those close to her went on to tell investigators that the singer was frustrated that her musical career hadn’t taken off in the United States as of yet and that she faced the looming fear that it never would.
As previously reported, Simone was discovered at her West Hollywood apartment inside of a bedroom by her boyfriend, who told investigators that he’d seen her alive just five hours prior to her death.
We continue to send our prayers to Simone’s family and friends during their time of bereavement.
