Ray J Sentenced To 3 Years Of Probation
Last week, we told you that Ray J entered a not guilty plea to sexual battery and several of the other charges being brought against him, which stem from an alleged drunken outburst that he had last spring at the Beverly Wilshire.
As you’ve probably heard, Ray was asked to leave the hotel’s bar after he allegedly began behaving erratically. He was also accused of brushing against a woman’s genitals, which is where the sexual battery charge comes from.
According to TMZ, the “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star’s attorney was able to strike a pretty decent plea deal, which will keep him out of prison. Ray pleaded no contest to misdemeanor trespassing charges during his August 23 court appearance. As for the sexual battery, assault on a police officer and resisting arrest charges, they will be dismissed.
In exchange for the dropped charges, Ray will be required to report to a probation officer for the next 3 years, complete 50 hours of community service, complete 12 anger management counseling courses and lastly, 12 alcohol therapy sessions.
If his plea deal sounds familiar, it’s because it’s a lot similar to the one that was recently struck with Columbus Short in his spousal battery case.
