It was the nipple shot heard around the world. Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake teamed up for an epic performance at the 2004 Super Bowl and they certainly made history, alright. At the end of their performance, Timberlake ripped Jackson’s top and with that he introduced the “Rhythm Nation” singer’s areola to 140 million viewers. At the time it was the most recorded and replayed moment in TiVo history. They both insisted it was an accident but with a new album in stores, many believed this was a shameless attempt by Jackson to receive additional buzz.
