AIDS Activist Alicia Keys
The multi-Grammy winning singer has long been involved in charity. When not performing for various charitable events particularly ones fighting AIDS, she is working through her own nonprofit organization Keep A Child Alive (KCA). She co-founded the organization in 2003 with Leigh Blake, longtime AIDS activist and film/TV producer. KCA provides life-saving AIDS medicine and surrounding care to children and families in Africa and India, according to the website. And it provides support to AIDS orphans.
