Welcome (Back) To BET: Keyshia Cole To Star In Reality Show About Her Current Struggles; Nelly & Shantel Jackson Taking Their “Love” To TV
After falling out with her family post-“Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is,” and being estranged from husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson after they starred in “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First,” you would think that at this point in Keyshia Cole’s life, she would avoid reality TV like the plague. But those checks must be really nice, because Cole is returning to BET for her third reality show with the network, but this time, it’s going to be all about her.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cole’s show will follow her as she tries to juggle her career, motherhood and the way she deals with the demise of her relationship with Gibson. The show was picked up and will air six episodes running at a half hour.
This is all interesting considering that Cole put BET on blast not too long ago for failing to pay her for her work on “Family First.”
I guess they patched things up (and the check finally cleared).
But she’s not the only one putting her business out there for BET. Nelly, who already stars on “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” will star in a new reality show for the network alongside girlfriend Shantel Jackson (yes, Floyd Mayweather’s ex). However, Nelly will be the main focus as cameras follow him, his business ventures, his children (as well as his late sister’s children, who he takes care of), his rap career, and of course, his relationship with “Miss Jackson.” The show was given the green light for eight episodes at an hour each. After years of trying to keep his personal life private (yes, I’m alluding to his past uber-long relationship with Ashanti that they tried to hide), he’s feeling very open these days…but will you watch?
