Tara And Peter’s Sons Don’t Know About Their New Baby Sister: ‘They’re Too Small To Try To Process That’
Last week, we told you that Amina Buddafly gave birth to her first child with Peter Gunz. The “Love & Hip Hop” star announced her daughter’s birth via Facebook and promised friends and relatives that more details were to come. Interestingly, Peter’s two youngest sons, Jamison and Kaz, whom he shares with co-star Tara Wallace, are still unaware that they have baby sister.
“No, they don’t know. That’s something that he and I are discussing how we’re going to let them know that information,” Tara told Mara The Hip Hop Socialite. “It’s just a lot – they’re just too small to even try to even process that. The world is so filled with like hardships and stuff you have to go through, so if I can protect them for as long as I can, that’s what I’m going to do.”
As it turns out, the children don’t even know that their parents have broken up.
“My boys are very small – one is 2, one’s 6 – and it’s just a conversation that they’re just not ready to hear,” the actress and reality star explained. “They are obsessed with and adore their dad, so when their dad is not home, you know, as far as I’m concerned, they’re concerned, dad’s working, and you’ll be back with him tomorrow.”
As for what she personally thinks about Amina giving birth to Peter’s child, Tara had this to say:
“I see him often because we have children obviously, so I see him pretty much every day, and as long as Amina has a happy, healthy baby. No woman would want a woman to have a baby that’s anything other than healthy, perfect, despite the circumstances. So, you know, congratulations to them.”
The boys also have not spent any time with their new stepmother, Amina, but Tara says that they will get there in due time. Right now, she and Peter are simply trying to establish a stable co-parenting relationship.
“We are trying to develop a very functional, happy co-parenting relationship. You know he’s a fun dad, so I love being around Peter when he’s around my children, when he’s around our children, because he’s really fun. Peter’s like that dad that everyone wishes was their dad. He’s very funny, he makes jokes.”
It sounds like they’re trying to make the best out of an extremely complicated situation.
