Have you seen Lifetime’s new reality show “BAPs“? If we’re making movies into reality shows now, we’ve got a few more great ideas. Would you tune in?

Barber Shop

Honestly, we can’t believe there’s not a Barber Shop reality TV show on right now. Cutting hair, talking mess with a celebrity guest every episode? Count us already tuned in.

First Sunday

We can think of at least four churches off the top of our heads with enough drama, testifying and soul-stirring sermons to make this a show that we’d tune into weekly.

Joyful Noise

The only place more dramatic than church on Sunday is choir practice on Wednesday. And we haven’t even started on all of that good music. We’d watch and sing along.

Beauty Shop

If there’s going to be a Barbershop, there’s got to be a Beauty Shop. If they aired back to back, that would be even better. Does anyone know if Queen Latifah can really do hair?

Jumping the Broom

It’s way past time for a wedding show that focuses on African-American weddings with all the drama, love and tradition that surrounds them.

Soul Plane

Delta just made history with it’s first all black female crew. And who wouldn’t love to watch an all-black airline fly the friendly skies. Between the stewardesses, delays and disgruntled customers there’d be more than enough drama to go around.

First Kid

Sinbad aside, is anyone else dying to know what goes on in he lives of Natasha and Malia? Imagine “Daddy’s Girls” but with a lot more secret service men around.

35 and Ticking

There’s “Real Housewives,” “Basketball Wives” and “Married to Medicine.” but isn’t it about time for a show about dating lives? The current reality line up is making us feel super single.

Boomerang

Would you tune into a show about successful men dating in the city? Today’s television line-up desperately needs a show about men doing something other than singing and telling jokes.

School Daze

It’s about time that HBCUs got some positive publicity. Do you think it’s possible to have a reality show about black colleges that doesn’t turn into a hot ratchet mess?

Drum Line

If college life is too dramatic for TV, what about a few seasons from some of the best bands, dance and step teams around the country. Would you tune in?

Dream Girls

Was Olivia’s storyline anyone else’s favorite on “Love & Hip Hop?” We want more shows about women making it in the game without making shady “music deals” with managers with more than music on their minds.

Hollywood Shuffle

Ever wonder what it’s really like out there for black actors? We’d love to watch actors from the A list, B list and C list trying to manage their way through auditions, pilot season and the politics of working on a Hollywood set.

Hitch

Lord knows there are a lot of people out there who need dating help. We want a reality show with it’s own date doctor to show us all what we’re doing wrong.

Think Like A Man

Speaking of dating advice, wouldn’t you love to know if this dating advice really works? We’d love to see couples navigate love and relationships armed only with Steve Harvey’s advice.
