Robin Thicke Reportedly Giving Up On Trying To Mend Marriage With Paula
According to TMZ, Robin Thicke is having a change of heart when it comes to his much ballyhooed sympathy tour (which included the album Paula) and attempts to get Paula Patton back. After putting out an album of songs saying he’s sorry and watching it only sell 24,000 copies in its first week, people in the singer’s camp say he’s throwing in the towel.
The first sign that he was giving up came via the news this week that the couple are selling their L.A. home (which according to TMZ, Patton has not lived in since they separated). Now sources from Thicke’s camp say that although neither party has a divorce lawyer, Thicke has enlisted an attorney to prepare a financial settlement so that the couple can separate their assets peacefully.
However, Thicke’s team does say that even though he’s tired of putting himself out there in an attempt to reconcile, he won’t be the one to file for divorce–Patton will have to make that move and then he will sign.
I wonder if these two sought out counseling or if Patton is really just done with Thicke and the fame he let go to his head after “Blurred Lines”? And while I think the performances and album could have been a nice gesture, all that seemed more for him and his career than for her and their family. But what do you think?
