Apollo Turning To God In Wake Of 8-Year Prison Sentence: ‘I Had Definitely Fallen Off My Spirituality A Lot’
He may not have his wife in his corner for his 8-year prison stint, but he’ll have God. “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida appears to have turned his attention back to his faith after learning that he’ll probably be spending the better portion of the next 8 years in prison.
“I was captivated by a lot of things,” Apollo said during his recent chat with Be100 Radio. “I had definitely fallen off my spirituality a lot. When I came home for those six years, I lost myself, who I was as a person.”
Apparently being sent back to prison served as some sort of wake-up call for the father of two, who says he’s going to be making some major changes once his sentence begins.
“Once you forgive yourself, then let it go. He said He’d make that enemy your footstool,” Apollo expressed. “I’m supposed to go in there, recreate myself the way that I did the first time, but this time don’t lose myself. Stay true to myself.”
“I wanna stay prayed up, stay spiritual, and I kinda drifted away from that and became just a product of my environment and the world,” he continued.
“I think the message for me is, ‘Apollo, go sit down. Get back in the Word. Get spiritually rooted and then come out and rock the world.”
Although plenty of folks have been getting on Apollo for all of sudden wanting to reconnect with the Lord now that he’s in trouble, his personal relationship with God is his own business. Hopefully, he learns his lesson this time.
