Why Karlie Redd Probably Had Nothing To Do With The Demise Of Yung Joc’s Marriage

July 15, 2014  |

Earlier this week, news broke that “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Jasiel “Yung Joc” Robinson’s wife, Alexandria,  filed for divorce. Naturally, the filing was a shock because not a lot of people realized that the rapper-turned-reality-star was married. According to TMZ, Alexandria cited adultery as grounds for her divorce filing. Considering that we’ve seen Joc boo’d up with Karlie Redd this season, most assumed that she had something to do with the couple’s demise. However, that may be a rather hasty assumption.

In her filing Alexandria acknowledges that she and Jasiel have been separated since February 2012. “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” season one didn’t even premiere until June 2012 and Joc didn’t appear on the series with Karlie until 2014. Jasiel and Alexandria were high school sweethearts and have been legally married for 13 years. But their relationship appears to be stained with a bit of drama. Back in 2012, V-103 reported that a man by the name of Milton Winckler came forward insisting that he believed that he was the father of the couple’s then 9-year-old daughter.

Interestingly, a source close to the situation claimed that the only reason that Joc married Alexandria was because she was pregnant with their daughter.  According to reports, a paternity test was performed, but the results were never publicly revealed. What’s even more interesting is that this report came out just one month after Alexandria says that they separated.

“Yes, I have always known about my daughter,” Winckler said in a letter to Mommy’s Dirty Little Secret. ‘Every time I would approach Alex, she always said ‘her daddy’s name is Joc.’ The last time I contacted her via text, she told me to ‘Contact her attorney Dana Davis’ and furnished me with the number as well.

I didn’t want to broadcast this on a media circuit because I want to protect my daughter. This is the type of nonsense that discourages fathers to step up. I guess I needed to maintain celebrity status and have a certain number of zeroes in my account to be apart of my daughters life!”

It’s unclear what became of that situation. Alexandria is requesting spousal and child support, by the way. We imagine that this is going to be one messy divorce!
