Walgreens Shooter’s Widow Says He Should’ve Killed More Cops: ‘He Should’ve Took Them All The F–k Out!’

July 15, 2014  |

Grief stricken people say and do crazy things sometimes,  but some comments recently made by alleged Walmart shooter Lawrence Campbell’s widow, Angelique Campbell left the Jersey City community outraged and we can understand why. Lawrence made headlines earlier this week after surveillance cameras captured him walking into a local Walgreens, attacking a security guard and taking his gun. Once police officers were called, Lawrence waited outside of the pharmacy for them.

According to CBS New York,  while waiting outside, Lawrence spoke to a witness and apologized for all of the commotion that went on in the store and advised that they watch the news later because he’s “going to be famous.” When Officer Melvin Santiago, 23, arrived on the scene, Lawrence allegedly walked up to the patrol car and shot him in the head before he even exited the vehicle. Officers then shot and killed Lawrence.

“That’s how I feel. God forgive me, but that’s how I feel,” Angelique Campbell, 28, reportedly told News 12 New Jersey. “If they was going to stand over my husband and shoot him like a f—ing dog, he should’ve took all of them the f— out,” she railed.

She later apologized for her deceased husband’s actions, and offered condolences to the slain officer’s family.

“I’m not saying what he did was right — or what they claim he did was right,” she expressed. “What I’m saying is he was my husband and he was a human being.”

Angelique and Lawrence’s relatives have also been publicly criticized for erecting a neighborhood memorial. While Lawrence’s cousin, Samika Campbell, expressed that she certainly couldn’t defend her cousin’s actions or his wife’s words, she did defend her right to mourn his death how she pleases.

“We’re not supposed to mourn for him because a cop got killed,” she said. “That’s sad. Like we’re not supposed to have feelings and emotions. We lost somebody, too.”

To make matters worse, cops were already searching for Lawrence as he was reportedly a person of interest in another murder investigation.
