Madonna

Growing up in Michigan, Madonna had always yearned to be somebody. Her mother passed away from cancer when the “Material Girl” was just five years old. Madonna and her five other siblings resented any female presence that came into their household for fear they’d be taking their mother’s beloved place. Madonna was left with a yearning and she shared her feelings with an interview in “Vanity Fair” magazine. “I wasn’t rebellious in a certain way,” she said. “I cared about being good at something. I didn’t shave my underarms and I didn’t wear make-up like normal girls do. But I studied and I got good grades. I wanted to be somebody.”
