Prince Shuts The Restroom Down On Lil’ Mo At Essence Festival

July 6, 2014  |

All this because she was prevented from peeing? Apparently Lil’ Mo got in her feelings yesterday after New Orleans Police prevented her from using the bathroom at the Essence Festival this past weekend.

And it was all Prince’s fault. Like many of these celebs with communication issues and a need to complain publicly, she took to Instagram to talk about how Royal Purple himself doesn’t think he’s human.

According to reports from Complex, the “Superwoman” singer had VIP passes to frolick backstage at the festival as she pleased, but was prevented from using the restroom and even “pushed in the stomach” because Prince was about to make his way to the stage. She posted on Instagram:

“Erbody think they not human.”

She proceeded to rant in a selection of Instagram posts accusing Prince of not hitting his high notes and not having any records on the radio. Prince fans were not amused and promptly clapped back stating:

“Girl bye and what was the last song you had out? Oh I’ll wait. It’s Prince @thelilmoshow you can hold your pee for a few more seconds or better yet why you didn’t pee early? Please have ALL the seats in the Superdome.”

“Did u tell em u were superwoman??”

“You should be grateful you were in the presence of The Legendary Prince Rogers Nelson!!! Know your place, which is an irrelevant one. Oh and by the way, Prince could have written 3 or 4 albums while you were in the bathroom. Lol”

But the best response was probably from the man himself who simply subtweeted a pic of himself giving some serious side-eye captioned:

“I hope she know, none of her clothes match.”

In the words of Lauryn Hill, “You might win some, but you just lost one.” Was is that serious? See the problem with social media is that it gives us regular folks and celebs alike a forum to vent about every little instance in life that rubs us the wrong way. Some things are just better left in your head. We hope Mo eventually worked out that situation with her bladder.
